is a borate fungicide and insecticide that is fully registered with the EPA.

Yes, because of its age and stability, old wood will not shrink or move, which
is a prime consideration in construction.

6) What is hand hewn and what tools are used in this process?
The wood is shaped using hand tools, as opposed to machine tools.
Examples of hand tools are: Broad axe, adz tools, draw knives, chisels, and hand
augers.

Generally below the branch lines to obtain as much usable material as possible.
8) History of the antique timber
Antique timber comes from old-growth virgin forests, which were cut for building
material about 100 to 200 years ago.
9) Can the antique wood be used in interior applications?
Yes, for interior use we recommend that the wood be allowed to acclimate for 10
days to 3 weeks before installation. Restored to its original luster and charm,
it becomes a cherished antique possession.
